    2014/2015 Sporting Achievements


    Our Lady’s School offers a wide and varied Sports Programme.  Students participate in a number of individual and team, extra-curricular sporting activities.  These take place at lunchtime, after school and on Saturday mornings. Activities include, Hockey, Athletics, Camogie, Gaelic Football, Golf, Rounders and Tennis.



    Huge congratulations to the U14’s who won the Leinster Final versus St Mac Dara’s on Friday, 15th May 2015.  Very well done girls!

    Congratulations to Emily Browne C5, Jennifer O’Dell L5 and Kelli Taite P6, who are members of the Dublin Minor Football team that won the Leinster Championships on Sunday, 3rd May 2015.

    Congratulations to the  U14, Div 1 team , who won  the Dublin Championships and came 2nd in the Leinsters. Congratulations also to the U19, Div 1 team, who won the  Dublin Championships and came 3rd in the All Ireland Championships.

    Congratulations to Ellen Walshe M1, who competed for Leinster Schools’ versus the other provinces in May. Leinster came 2nd.  Ellen swam in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley and won both races. She has been put forward for selection by Swim Ireland to represent Ireland at the European Youth Olympics in Tibillsi, Georgia in July and  has been selected for the Irish Schools’ team for a trip to the British School games in September.   Athletics Well done to all athletes who competed in the West Leinster event in Santry, on Tuesday, 21st April 2015.  We had a total of 22 athletes competing in the running, jumping and throwing events.  Well done to Eimear Fitzpatrick P4. who came 1st in the 1500m race and the 1500m steeplechase and to Orlagh Paterson L2, who came 2nd in the 800m.  Both athletes competed in the Leinster Track and Field  Competition. Eimear qualified for the All-Irelands and is now the record holder for the 1500m hurdles.  She also came 2nd in the 1500m race.  Very well done. Well done also to Muireann McGinley C5, who won the senior Pole Vault.
