I don’t know if any of you are feeling it too, but as we approach Holy Week I am feeling a little unprepared. I really missed attending church services during Lent when I would usually reflect with my community on the Easter message. I am feeling a little soul-weary after months of winter, darkness and a lack of social interaction.
But perhaps this isn’t such a bad way to enter Holy Week – tired and unprepared, hungry for a new beginning, eager for the light to shine in the darkness. Even if, like me, you feel you haven’t quite lived into the penitential season of Lent, it’s not too late to begin walking toward resurrection morning.
In the link below there is a prayer for each day of Holy Week. You are invited to take a moment each day to reflect on a thought for the day and the hope of the Resurrection to come.
I wish you all a very happy and safe Easter. I look forward to the whole school community returning after the holidays.
