Friday finish

23rd January 2026 by Olschool

Home / News / Friday finish

23rd January 2026 by Olschool

Well done to the Junior 3s for their 1-0 win v Templecarrig on Wednesday. The U14 Badminton squads had two games this week, with one victory over Nord Anglia and a 4-2 loss v St Raphaelas. Basketball goes from strength to strength with the 1st Years getting another solid win against Colaiste Pobal Setanta with the 2nd years (picture attached) bouncing back to take the points in their game v Pobal Setanta.

Yesterday, OLS hosted its first-ever Jigsaw-athon in the GPA during lunchtime! A fun and lively way to score points for the Houses Challenge!

After lunch yesterday, the TY, 5th and 6th year students attended the OLS Career Fair. A big thank you to all the participants who shared their knowledge and insights with the students during the event. It was fantastic to have so many representatives from various colleges and apprenticeships/training options attending. Many thanks also to the TY reps who helped run this event. Students had the opportunity to meet with representatives from a selection of further and higher education colleges and learn about available apprenticeships. We hope the event helped students explore and research various career areas, helping them to make informed career choices.

Our Student Leadership Team held an online meeting with their counterparts in our sister school in Farnborough Hill, England today.

This Friday, during lunchtime, The Le Cheile Council celebrated the final day of Catholic Schools Week in the Oratory with a wonderful prayer service. Later on, the Le Cheile Council are photographed relaxing after a busy but productive week of duties.

Congratulations to Matilda Murray, Kate Vance and Eliana Flinter, LC Class of 2025, who received Entrance Awards from Trinity College Dublin this week in recognition of their excellent Leaving Certificate results.
