1st year student Ava Mulhall became a second time Irish Champion at the National Boxing Championships last weekend. Very impressive Ava!
Abbie Rhatigan (1st year), Lucy Lawlor (2nd year) and Grace Joyce (2nd year) competed as part of a team with the Watson Twin Academy at the An Chomdhail World Irish Dancing Championships in Killarney last week. The theme of their dance was Wicked. They took the house down and received a standing ovation from the audience, winning the Freestyle World Championship. A major achievement for the girls to be crowned world champions, they have been working on this performance since last August. After the Senior Tennis 2-1 win against Loreto Kilkenny on Tuesday our Juniors travelled to Mt Anville yesterday and came away with a 3-0 victory in the opening game of their campaign this year, well done!
We look forward to seeing the TYs perform their musical Frozen next week. A limited number of remaining tickets will go on sale today, Friday 17th April at 4:30pm. We would encourage those attending the musical to come on foot/park off site if possible as we anticipate the traffic will be heavy on these evenings.
Yesterday the TY students went on a trip to Trinity College Dublin where they explored the campus and learnt what different courses they could take in college. This trip was very useful in helping thje students think about what they would like to study in college.
