Every year, Fighting Words publishes a magazine of exciting new writing by young people from all over Ireland with The Irish Times.
They are now inviting submissions from secondary school students to be included in The Irish Times supplement in 2023.
Please read below for information and guidelines.
Fighting Words are looking for short pieces of fictional writing on any theme. As well as prose pieces. They also welcome poems, scripts and songs.
One (1) prose submission per author and poets may submit two (2) poems.
Word Count: maximum 1,500 words
IMPORTANT: Format – Times New Roman, font size 12, double spaced. Please attach to the email as a Word document. Do NOT send PDF or handwritten submissions.
