Our Lady’s played their first competitive soccer match this week when our new 1st Year team took on Loreto Bray on the astro pitch in Templeogue Utd. In a thrilling 1st Leinster Cup tie we saw an epic game of two halves with the strong Bray side leading 3-0 not long after half time, aided by 2 penalties. Our Lady’s, captained by Aisling Tighe, battled back in a dominant last 20 minutes to fight back to 3-2, with the Bray GK making two excellent saves to keep OLS at bay. Well done, girls, the future looks good
Yesterday, Ms Power’s and Mr Stringer’s TY English classes visited St Pius National School for some paired reading with Senior Infants. They brought down the beautiful children’s books they wrote, designed and compiled themselves. It was a wonderful opportunity to share their creativity, kindness and love of reading with the 5 and 6-year-olds!
Isabelle and Mylagh in Transition Year students set up our Prayer Space in Reception to remember all those who have passed away. This was followed by a prayer service in the Oratory.
A reminder that we would like to enlist your support in reinvigorating our Library with our Book Drive. We would be delighted to accept pre loved books in good condition from the list attached below, pre loved books may be dropped off at Reception. Alternatively, you could give the gift of reading to our students this year by purchasing a book from the online list set up with our local The Village Bookshop here: https://thevillagebookshop.ie/product-category/our-ladys-school/?product-page=1
We wish all our families a happy and healthy weekend!
