On Wednesday, the Science Week Interhouse Event took place in the GPA. Congratulations to L House, which won the competition, and to M House, which was very close to winning!

The TY Enterprise Class had a visit from a Bank of Ireland representative this week. The students learned about entrepreneurs who set up their businesses as teenagers, how to prepare an effective business plan and how to seek funding from the bank to set up a business. A very informative talk, which they will now apply to their own mini-enterprises.

Our 1st – 3rd Years had a very valuable talk with An Garda Siochana this week regarding bullying and how to be safe online.

Janice Dsouza (6C), Abby O’Rourke (T1) and Neisha Fairbrother (T4) represented OLS at the Comhairle na nOg in the Maldron Hotel in Tallaght this Thursday. They appreciated the insightful event, as it gave them a chance to engage in meaningful conversations about the issues that truly affect young people today. It provided a valuable platform for them to share their perspectives, express their concerns, and highlight the challenges they encounter in their daily lives. the event was a great opportunity for open discussion, reflection, and collaboration towards finding solutions that could make a real difference for young people.

A huge congratulations to our Senior Camogie who are now in the Senior Dublin A final for the second year running. An excellent team performance lead to a 3-10 to 2-6 win. The girls now have a chance to defend their title in a few weeks time.

Today we were delighted to celebrate the our founding Sisters’ feast day led by P5 and Ms Farrell. Our entire school community gathered in the Sports Hall, which had been creatively decorated by P5, and enjoyed a meaningful ceremony which focused on the theme ‘Let your light shine before you that they may see your good deeds’. Sr Cara expressed her sincere thanks to all of our students for their thoughtfulness in terms of the beautiful poetry, languages and music that were in evidence throughout the ceremony.
