Congratulations to Ruby Farrelly (P2), who recently represented Ireland and Our Lady’s at the SIAB Schools International Cross Country Competition in Wales. Ruby competed as part of the mixed 4 × 1500m relay team, which placed second overall. Well done to her on this great achievement.
Special congratulations to the class of M5, teachers Mr. Kieran, and Ms. Rainford, and our beautiful choir for our Easter service on Wednesday. Easter was well and truly brought to life not only with our readings and music but the magnificent Easter banner and artwork. You will see from our photos that we display their great contribution proudly in our GPA, highlighting the Lamb of God and our Easter theme of hope. We were delighted to welcome Sisters Cara, Josephine, Margaret, Mary, Monica and Rody to join us. Our anam caras thoroughly enjoyed the celebration.
Out TYs had a wonderful Development Day participating in self defense classes, a trip to the Epic museum, and the Transition Year Leaders On Our Level 2026 Conference in the Helix theatre.
Sadhbh King (Transition Year) has been selected as a finalist in the 3rd National TY Short Story Competition for her short story ‘In the Nick of Time’. One picture is of Sadhbh holding her story and the other is a picture of her with her very proud English teacher Mr. Stringer.
On Friday the 27 March the LCA students visited Dublin College Blackrock and the Camden Court Hotel as part of their career planning. The students firstly had a tour of Dublin College Blackrock and heard about their courses. Following this the students met with the Deputy General Manager of the Camden Court hotel to hear about careers in hospitality. They had a tour of the hotel and heard about the operations of a hotel. Many thanks to Fiona in Dublin College Blackrock and Steve in the Camden Court Hotel.
As the school closes for the Easter Break we just want to wish everyone a beautiful two weeks off, take care of yourselves and have lots of fun and lots of chocolate!
We wish our 6th Years the very best with their Leaving Certificate orals over the coming days.
