The TYs set off on an adventure today… their Gaisce Hike in Glendalough! They have the perfect weather for it! They will have a spectacular time!
Congratulations to the 5th Year Leaving Cert Applied class who received their results from the State Exams Commission for Session 1 (Sept – Jan) this morning. The results were phenomenal and reflect a fantastic session’s work by both students and staff alike! We wish the girls the best of luck next week as they complete another two SEC interviews and their Spanish Leaving Certificate oral exam.
Congratulations to Sadhbh King (TY), who attended the final of the TY National Short Story Competition on Wednesday. Sadhbh’s short story ‘In the Nick of Time’, was heavily praised by the judging panel, who said the following. “In the Nick of Time is a superb title. The story is very well constructed and has an unexpected sting in the tail.” Sadhbh is pictured with Mary Hanafin (Chairperson of the competition). A fantastic way to promote literacy and creative writing in OLS!
On Tuesday 23rd the 1st Year Gaelic team travelled to Ringsend to compete in the Scoop Cup. The girls performed excellently throughout the day, playing four games and demonstrating great teamwork, determination, and skill. Their efforts resulted in a fantastic Shield win over Loreto Dalkey, which was a great achievement. The girls should be very proud of their hard work and commitment across all matches. A special mention goes to Chloe Thom and Emma Mc Daid for their outstanding performances throughout the day.
Commiserations to our Minor Camogie team who fell just short in their Dublin semi final. Despite a very good team performance, Loreto Beaufort got the win on the day. Well done to the girls on another great season, your hard work will pay off down the line. We are looking forward to seeing you all back next year!
