House Spirit is happening on Friday May 8th!
The haiku workshop for Poetry Month went very well, the students wrote some beautiful and creative haikus. We are so impressed by them.
The Minor C and Junior tennis teams were both successful in their Leinster Quarter finals with the Juniors beating Alexandra College 2-1 and the Minors beating St Andrews 2-1. They will play their semi finals next week.
Well done to all students that took part in the West Leinster Athletics Competition that took place in Santry during the week. Congratulations to Lucy Blessington who came 1st in the 80m and 800m, Siobhan Murray who came 2nd in the 80m and 75m hurdles, Ruby Farrelly who came 1st in the 1500m, Alannah Giles who came 2nd in the 800m and the minor girls 4x100m relay of Lucy Blessington, Siobhan Murray, Alice Wilson and Emily Fullarton who came 2nd. These students will now go on to represent Our Lady’s at the Leinster Schools Athletics Competition in two weeks.
Congratulations to Maeve McLoughlin, L5, who competed in the school’s regatta last weekend. Maeve made it to the final and placing 3rd overall in a field of 26 rowers in the Women’s U23 1x. A super achievement!
An exhibit of William Blake’s art has opened in the National Art Gallery, the long weekend is a great opportunity to visit this. We have a collection of Blake’s poetry in the library, come check it out!
