Dear Parents,
On Monday 28th September we will launch our annual Friendship Week with a performance for Juniors and Seniors from Saibh Skelly, a local singer songwriter. Our focus during this week will be the message of Bí Cineálta, our anti bullying policy, which is that we as a school community stand for kindness, tolerance and respect, we do not tolerate bullying.
The week will include a variety of House events including a House t shirt competition, Houses are to wear their House t shirt with the rest of their uniform on the following themed days:
Monday 28th Sept B House: Green (“Green with envy”)
Tuesday 30th Sept C House: Blue (“The deep BLUE sea”)
Wednesday 31st Sept P House: Yellow (“The YELLOW brick road”)
Thursday 1st Oct M House: Purple (“The PURPLE PATCH”)
Friday 2nd Oct L House: Red (“The RED carpet”) also JERSEY DAY for GOAL
There will be a t-shirt count will take place at the beginning of lunch each day, students are to meet their House at the House flag outside the Sports Hall to be counted. The House with the greatest % House t-shirts will win! Extra percentage for every t-shirt wearing a House colour on the correct day.
Friday 2nd Oct (School PE gear allowed with jersey or House t shirt)
1. GOAL JERSEY DAY
We will be collecting donations for GOAL (which is the L House Charity) at each student entrance in the morning. Donations can be made via card, a scan of the QR code, or cash in the bucket.
2. INTERHOUSE HOTSEAT @ LUNCH in the SPORTS HALL
Throughout the week there will be plenty of opportunities to mix with old friends and new ones and we encourage all of our students to reflect on the message of kindness which is central to our school community.
