Thursday was a very special occasion as OLS celebrated Le Chéile Day as well as IWD and the dome opening! The event was organized by our Chaplain, Mr Sneyd, and the Le Chéile Council, who spread kindness by welcoming students and staff with chocolate treats at the school’s entrance. This thoughtful gesture set a positive tone for the day.
Seachtain na Gaeilge continued and during lunchtime yesterday, a House Quiz was held, fostering some friendly inter-house competition and camaraderie among students!
This morning, the Transition Year (TY) students embarked on a two-day hike to Glendalough for their Gaisce Adventure journey, embracing nature and teamwork. We wish them the best of luck!
A special congratulations goes to Freya Nugent, Ria O’Sullivan, and Tara Gaffney for their remarkable Junk Kouture achievement! Their entry, “Revamped Rio,” has advanced beyond the semi-finals of this year’s Junk Kouture competition to the finals which will be held in May. The girls showcased their stunning garment on the catwalk at The Helix last night. It is a phenomenal achievement to get to the next stage of such a fiercely contested competition!
