Our TY and 5th Year students will have some opportunities to engage with the Shine Festival early next week. The Shine Festival (https://www.shinefestival.ie) is a special on-line schools’ event tailored for girls and women, appropriately kicking off on Monday, International Women’s Day! Each year group will be given more detail and log in information nearer the time. While many of the sessions are prerecorded, the material can only be accessed Monday to Wednesday. You will see from the line up attached that a great variety of topics will be covered over the three days. Please note that some videos will feature discussions on potentially sensitive topics like sexual health, grief, suicide, eating disorders etc. These are signified in the lineup with an asterisk and in the videos themselves. Shine will signpost to support organisations as appropriate. We would encourage parents to check in with their daughters regarding what talks they may be interested in accessing.
