Firstly, we wish our 3rd and 6th Years the very best of luck tomorrow as they begin their state exams. Students are to go to the GPA when they come in.
30 TY and 5th Year students travelled to Kenya at the weekend for their two week volunteer programme. The girls successfully raised €22,000 with the help of the OLS community for the primary school in Kelelwa where the girls are working. This money will be used to fully construct and furnish 2 new classrooms. It will have a transformational impact for the community. Thank you to all who supported our students with their fundraising. We wish our students and teachers the very best on the trip.
Congratulations to Lucy Blessington who came 1st in the Minor Girls 100m and Ruby Farrelly who came 3rd in the Inter Girls 1500m at the All Ireland Schools Track and Field Competition that took place in Tullamore over the weekend. This is a huge achievement for both girls, rounding out a very successful year for athletics in Our Lady’s.
We also offer our congratulations to past pupil, Ava Darcy, LC Class of 2024, who has been awarded a non-foundation scholarship in Trinity College for Radiation Therapy. This is a magnificent achievement and gives Ava the privilege and prestige of being a Trinity Scholar as well as a range of academic supports including a bursary, accommodation, meals and tuition fees waivered. Well done, Ava, on a fantastic achievement!
