Le Chéile Day
OLS celebrated Le Chéile Day today. Students wrote the name of someone they’re grateful for on a petal-shaped piece of paper. The “petals” were arranged on a wall in the GPA to make a gorgeous mural (see photo gallery). Thank you Mr. O’Rourke and the Le Chéile students for your artistic skills!
Waste Free Wednesday
OLS held its first No Waste Wednesday today. Students and staff were urged to refrain from using plastic and single waste wrappings. Ms. Filaih’s TY class designed their own newspapers from old class projects (see photo gallery).
World Book Day
Tomorrow (March 7) is World Book Day in Ireland and the UK. The library is running a Design Your Own Bookmark Competition. Students can stop by the library during Thursday’s lunch period to work on their designs. The winner will receive a small prize. Additionally, their bookmark will be laminated and copies of it will be available to take at the library desk.
