OLS marked the beginning of Advent on Monday by our C1 class with Ms Byrne, our Principal. We began Advent by lighting the first candle. This is the candle of hope lit by Lauryn and assisted by Ruby. The Advent Calendar is shown by Hazel.
The LCA class enjoyed a fantastic workshop with Rachel Maloney, a self-employed hairdresser who runs her own salon in Swords. Rachel spoke to the students about her career journey, what it’s like to be self-employed, and life in the hairdressing industry. She also led a hands-on session, showing the girls how to create beautiful curls.
Congratulations to our Minor 1 team who travelled to Sutton today in the Minor Cup and came away 2-0 winners and now progress to face Wesley College in the next round.
Thank you for your support! The school received 95 books for the library! To continue to help us in reinvigorating our Library with our Book Drive. We would be delighted to accept pre-loved books in good condition from our list attached below. Pre-loved books may be dropped off at Reception. Alternatively, you could give the gift of reading to our students this year by purchasing a book from the online list set up with our local The Village Bookshop.
