As part of our drive to make OLS a more sustainable place we are applying for our blue Water Flag from Green Schools Ireland. Over the last few weeks the Green Schools Committee have been raising awareness about our water consumption here in the school by looking at our water footprint. We have discovered that as well as the obvious uses we consume water in many hidden ways also. An example of this was discovering how much water we use to grow the food that we eat. The average person consumes approximately 133 liters of water per day for domestic use. There are a few tips to help us reduce this usage in our homes in the image attached.
On Wednesday our newly formed Transition Le Cheile held a Confirmation Master Class with two 6th Class groups in Saint Pius Girls National School. Well done to our dedicated TYs and best wishes to the Saint Pius girls for the big ceremony on Saturday.
A reminder that students can wear their tracksuits all week. We have a lot more activities coming up for Wellbeing Week, ending with a whole school colour run on Friday! Lots to look forward to.
