Well done to Emma Clarke, Nicole Lin, Aoife O’Connor and Connie Harte from TY who were selected to showcase their projects at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS this week. Aoife and Connie caught up with Micheál Martin to tell him all about their project called ‘Bridging the Colour Gap’ whereby they created a mobile colour detector app to aid people with red-green colour blindness. Well done to the four girls!
Past pupil, Orna Mulhern, Leadership Development Coordinator at American Chamber of Commerce Ireland, met 5th and 6th Years on Wednesday after school to facilitate an engaging workshop on leadership.
Please see attached the updated extra-curricular timetable for the new term. It is a new year and fresh start – students are welcome to join any activity available to their year group regardless of experience so we encourage all students to get involved in at least one extra-curricular pursuit!

HSE update:
As the cold weather continues, the HSE public health division has asked that we share the following important information with the school community:
- Flu is circulating widely in the community, with children being significantly affected.
- Anyone who is unwell should remain at home to help prevent the spread of infection.
- Cough and sneeze etiquette, along with regular hand hygiene, are essential to limiting the spread of illness.
- The free nasal flu vaccine for children aged 2–17 is still available through local pharmacies and GPs as well as a walk in LAIV Flu Vaccination Clinic this Saturday 11th of January from 10am – 4pm in Clondalkin Primary Care Centre, D22 E771.
