Congratulations to our Junior Tennis team, who beat Mount Anville 3 -0 in their semi-final and now progress to the Leinster Schools Final.
Well done to our athletes who competed in the Leinster Schools finals yesterday. Congratulations to Sarah Kiernan C5, who was crowned Leinster Champion on Monday after she stormed to victory in the very competitive senior girls 400m final in Tullamore. Sarah will now represent OLS in the All-Ireland final in June.
We are delighted to congratulate Leah Vance (TY4) on achieving third place in the Young Journalism Ireland Opinion Category. Leah’s thoughtful and articulate piece, which explored the theme of representation in the media, was highly praised by the judging panel at the awards ceremony in the Aviva Stadium yesterday for its insight and quality of writing. With over 10,000 students participating in the competition programme each year, this is an outstanding accomplishment. Entries were reviewed by a panel of national journalists and editors, recognising both individual creativity and collaborative efforts at the school level. Well done, Leah, on this remarkable achievement!

We look forward to celebrating 6th Year graduation with our Leaving Cert students tomorrow. It’s a highly significant milestone in their lives and a day for them, their families and the school to reflect on and celebrate all they have achieved and become here at OLS. They will have a Graduation rehearsal at 8.30am followed by a Graduation breakfast. The Graduation Mass and Reception (organised by our wonderful Parents’ Council) begins at 4.30pm for students, parents & guardians of 6th Years.
