Today marks a national Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) challenge – the whole country is being invited to ‘Drop Everything and Read’. The aim is to promote literacy and to spread the joy of reading for pleasure. You can find out more about the initiative here: https://jcsplibraries.com/2020/04/17/national-drop-everything-and-read-challenge-2020/
We are encouraging as many students and staff as possible to ‘Drop Everything and Read’ between 11.30 and 12 this Friday, April 24. If a teacher has scheduled an online class for this time, however, then the class takes priority. Perhaps those students could take some time later in the day to read! We encourage other family members to take part too, where possible!
